Antécedent d'hysterectomie il y a 10 mois, pour une tuméfaction polypoide cervicale avec le diagnostic de lésion benigne suggestive d'un adénofibrome mullérien.

Previous hysterectomy 10 months ago, for polypoid lesions of the uterine cervix, diagnosed as benign in nature, consistent with a mullerian adenofibroma.

Diagnostic proposé:

Sarcome botryoide.

Proposed diagnosis:

Sarcoma Botryoides.

Arguments:

• gray-red, edematous, sessile or pedunculated polypoid mass.
• there is a cellular zone: the cambium layer, and similar cellular zones are present around blood vessels
• the cells are sparse and set in a myxoid stroma
• frequently contain small foci of mature cartilage
• may be covered by a layer of attenuated, but otherwise normal, epithelium
• Striated muscular differenciation, revealed by immunohistochemistry (Desmin, MSActin), myogenin (not shown)
